Prof. Dr. Dudenhausen, FRCOG (Chair)

Dr. Dudenhausen holds a Senior Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical School, New York City. Until March 2010, he was for many years Head of the Obstetrics Clinics of the Charité in Berlin, which boasts more than 5000 births annually. He is an internationally recognized scientist with more than 500 publications and books. Since 1983, Dr. Dudenhausen has been Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Perinatal Medicine. Dr. Dudenhausen holds a multiplicity of national and international awards.

Dr. Christine Günther

Christine Günther has more than 20 years of experience as a licensed physician. She is specialized in clinical haematology and immunology with extensive experience in clinical stem cell transplantation, transplantation immunology and cellular therapy. From 2002 to 2008, Dr. Günther was Qualified Person, Head of Quality Control and Medical Director of a public German stem cell and cord blood bank, working in the field of stem cell and tissue procurement, donor testing, characterization of cell products and their application to the patient. She completed her experience in immunogenetics as Search Coordinator for stem cell products, including cord blood units, for national and international transplant centres and managed the licensing of the Cord Blood product “HemoCord” for use in hematologic diseases.  Since 2008, Dr. Günther is Managing Director of the biotech company Apceth in Munich, developing stem cell-based therapies and gene therapies for malignant and non-malignant diseases. She is familiar with all regulatory issues in the field of somatic cell therapy and is very experienced in all aspects of GMP.  From 2008 to 2010 she was also Head of Production of the Eticur Cord Blood Bank in Munich.

Dr. Andreas Kurtz

Andreas Kurtz has more than 12 years of experience as a founder and CEO of multiple biotech companies and is a distinguished scientist in the areas of stem cell therapy and genetics. Since January 2009 Prof. Kurtz has been supporting Cytolon AG with the Asian Operations in conjunction with his associate professorship at Seoul National University, South Korea. Since 2006 Dr. Kurtz has focused on the development of regenerative therapies at Charité University Medicine and from 2000 to 2006 he was Assistant Professor at Harvard University. From 1995 to 2000 Dr. Kurtz was Assistant Professor at Georgetown University.
